За даними Scimago Institutions Rankings (https://www.scimagoir.com/rankings.php?sector=Higher+educ.&country=UKR), у 2021 році Прикарпатський національний університет посів перше місце у рейтингу Scimago серед закладів вищої освіти та науково-дослідних установ України.
SCImago Institutions Rankings – престижний наукометричний рейтинг, який використовує базу даних Scopus. SCImago Institutions Rankings оцінює наукові організації за 17 індикаторами та аналізує заклади вищої освіти та науково-дослідні установи за композитним індикатором, що поєднує в собі три різних набори показників, заснованих на дослідницькій діяльності, інноваційних заходах і громадському впливу.
Приємно відзначити вагомий внесок у це досягнення університету кафедри диференціальних рівнянь і прикладної математики: за п’ять останній років викладачами кафедри опубліковано 25 статей у виданнях, що індексуються Scopus:
